Beans spilled in help-wanted ad

Wall Street giant J.P. Morgan and Company won't publicly confirm reports that it has concluded a major purchase of NeXT computers, but don't tell that to its personnel department. The international finance firm ran this recruitment advertisement for NeXT programmers in the June 28 edition of the New York Times. During a press conference at the Securities Industry Association meeting in New York last month, NeXT CEO Steve Jobs showed a clipping of the ad as evidence of momentum behind the NeXT platform.

According to sources, Morgan has purchased about 100 NeXT systems in a pilot program that could lead to more sales.
