CD-ROM collections appear

Two new CD-ROM titles packed with NeXT news and third-party product information rolled off the publishing presses last month.

CD-ROM NeWS for the NeXT Computer is now distributing its first (January/February) issue. The CD-ROM-based magazine, which is funded in part by the Canadian government, contains about 125MB of archived software. The March/April issue will contain about 300MB of software.

A one-year subscription (six CDs) is $59.95; a two-year subscription is $99.

Seattle-based Paget Press is shipping its Electronic AppWrapper, a catalog containing almost 500 descriptions of products for NeXTSTEP computers. Users will also be able to order about 200 of the products directly through Paget. In addition, products like fonts are encrypted on the disc and can be accessed by purchasing a code from Paget.

Subscriptions (four issues) are $24 for U.S. users; $36 for others.
