Millennium prepares Newsgrazer for pros

Menlo Park, CA Ð Jayson Adams has done it again Ð Newsgrazer, that is. His company, Millennium Software Labs, has set a mid- to late-October ship date for Newsgrazer Pro, an entirely rewritten version of the original NewsGrazer app he wrote while working at NeXT.

The original program, widely distributed as freeware, allowed users to browse articles and message threads from Usenet news groups but was never supported by NeXT.

Newsgrazer Pro provides basically the same functionality with entirely new source code and an improved interface, according to the company.

The full feature set was not determined at press time, but Millennium says that, like the original application, Newsgrazer Pro will not include tools for creating or administering UUCP or SLIP connections.

Newsgrazer Pro is to ship in multiple-architecture-binary format and is priced at $199.99. network licenses and volume purchase discounts are also available.
