How to install the NeXTSTEP 3.3 Patch 3?

I downloaded (in Windows 7) the patches from the archive section and burned the files on a CD / made an *.iso file.
When I open the CD/.iso file in NeXTSTEP all filenames are cropped to DOS filenames. Also Windows changes some of the file extensions to their WinZip versions. This seems to cause problems with the NeXTSTEP installer. It always gives me an error message.
Is there any workaround for this?

Use an ISO tool that will allow you to use the full Joliet set, or to make an HFS hybrid disk.

Something like Alcohol 120 or the like should allow this.

Otherwise just rename the files.

I have the feeling that it gets already screwed up during the download since Windows recognizes it as WinZip file and changes the file extension. It would be great if these patches were compiled as an CD image that could be used for a virtual installation or to create a physical NeXTSTEP CD

I made an ISO with the 3.3 and 4.3 patches for Intel & Motorola..

The release notes and documentation normally included is also there - converted from PDF to Postscript..
