It all depends how bad he wants to get rid of rid.
If he doesn't care that much about it, you might be able to get away with it.

Dirty bastard took the damn sleds I hate it when they do that. Evil or Very Mad

Anyways...
030-0815-002 - IO4 I/O board - x4
013-1533-003 - IP25 2x195MHz R10000SC - x1
030-1072-001 - IP25 4x195MHz R10000 - x2
030-0681-003 - GE12-4 Kona Geometry Engine - x1
030-0711-001 - KONA Frontplane/grip/edge connector - x1
030-0683-004 - RM6-16 Kona Raster Manager (16MB) - x1
030-0764-001 - ??? - x2
030-0604-106 - MC3 Memory Board - x1

Okay, so you got TEN 200Mhz R10k processors, a pretty entry-level Infinite reality graphics system, an unknown amount of ram and....four I/O boards.
I don't know why four IO4's would be installed as you normally only need one but no matter what you are looking at not a deskside system but a fridge-sized "Terminator" rack system whose dimensions and weight is....
Code:
width:     69 cm / 27"
height:    159 cm / 62.3"
depth:     122 cm / 48"

weight:    254 kg / 560 lbs (miniumum)
           544 kg / 1200 lbs (maximum)

Yeah, this thing is a beast. If he dares to say $750 is not enough he's full of it and is looking at that one on ebay that's been selling for $10K and has been there for almost a year.
You SHOULD be able to convert it form three phase to single phase with a little hacking but if you dare have the space to store such a beast, go for it.

EDIT: oh, the picture loaded for me finally so you already know it is a rack. Interesting that it comes with all the cables AND the proprietary/hard to find granite keyboard and mouse.
