Hello,

nothing special indeed, just a cheap soldering station bought on Amazon. Surely, you need to practice a bit and to be willing to spend some time on perfecting your skills. There are indeed many tutorials on youtube, they are a good starting point.
Desoldering and preparing the board for the new capacitors is probably the most difficult part, since there's some risk of damaging leading traces, but it's normally possible to recover the situation by using some hard wiring.
For example, in the attached picture of a motor board, you can see some inelegant hard wiring replacing a damaged trace. Not something that made me happy, but it just works.
