*EDIT* OK, been playing with it some more. The interface is growing on me *GASP!*.. hehe Still sluggish though.

Other than that, it has some pretty nifty hardware. I love the color/mono screens. I want one Smile I wouldn't leave their terrible OS on it, though.

Bootup from hard reset was around 2 minutes to a working interface. It took anywhere from 10-20 seconds for programs to launch...

If you were going to go that route, why not just get a EEPC? Sounds like you'd be happier w/ something like that. Small, quicker, and then atleast you can have a better choice of OS'es. I've been thinking about that or getting an MacBook Air. OS4.2 running on an MacBook Air would be awesome. Cool

Take care.

I borrowed a friend's XO and I have to say it would be greatly improved by a light-weight installation of XP. And the acronyms would even line up. The music apps have the worst interfaces/workflow I've seen in a long time. And the one thing I really want to try, the mesh networking, isn't finding any mesh nodes to connect to and I'm in Cambridge.
