After many years my NeXT Computer needs to wake up. 'Very Happy'

With my NeXTstation turbo color I usually use my Sony CPD-L181 lcd display...... may I use it with the Cube ? How ?

The Cube is without NeXTDimension board, so after some researces I can start up it doing the dongle:
on the DB-19, I attached a Power Resistor (20 Ohm, at least 20 Watt) between pins 12 and GND and after I touch pins 6 and GND on the DB-19 NeXT monitor out with a 470 Ohm resistor.

The Cube now start up but I don't know how should be the video signals.

Another problem is the keyboard. It should be the wright think connect the keyboard and the mosue to the sound box and the sound box, pin to pin, to the Cube ?

Thanks in advance

Here I'm ..... excuse me for my bad english !

The problem was ... how connect a NeXt Computer ( Cube in BW ) to monitor ( non original NeXT ).

Problem solved very well and all is working.

I started from the NeXT Y color cable, its pinout is in the following....

The DB19 connector goes to soundbox and the 13W3 comes from my color slab

DB19 PIN 1 +12V TO 13W3 PIN 1 +12V
DB19 PIN 2 -12V TO 13W3 PIN 6 -12V
DB19 PIN 3 MONITOR CLOCK TO 13W3 PIN 3 MON CLOCK
DB19 PIN 4 MONITOR DATA OUT TO 13W3 PIN 4 MON DATA OUT
DB19 PIN 5 MONITOR DATA IN TO 13W3 PIN 5 MON DATA IN
DB19 PIN 6 MONITOR POWER SWITCH TO 13W3 PIN 2 MON PWR SWTC
DB19 PIN 7 NC TO 13W3 PIN 7 GND
DB19 PIN 8 VSYNC
DB19 PIN 9 HSYNC
DB19 PIN 10 VIDEO
DB19 PIN 11 +12V
DB19 PIN 12 -12V
DB19 PIN 13 GND TO 13W3 PIN 8 GND
DB19 PIN 14 GND TO 13W3 PIN 9 GND
DB19 PIN 15 GND TO DB19 PIN 14 & 13W3 PIN 9 GND
DB19 PIN 16 GND TO DB19 PIN 13 & 13W3 PIN 8 GND
DB19 PIN 17 NC
DB19 PIN 18 NC
DB19 PIN 19 NC

In the Y cable there are 3 connectors, 1 db19 and 2 13w3.
The two 13w3 are conected each other only with video signals, one is from my color slab the other goes to color monitor.

13W3 A1 RED TO 13W3 A1 RED
13W3 A2 BLUE TO 13W3 A2 BLUE
13W3 A3 GREEN TO 13W3 A3 GREEN
13W3 A1GND TO 13W3 A1GND
13W3 A2GND TO 13W3 A2GND
13W3 A3GND TO 13W3 A3GND.

I made a cable in this way....

First problem ... how to have a video signal.

Solved in this way.

DB19 CUBE PIN 8 VSYNC TO VGA PIN 14
DB19 CUBE PIN 9 HSYNC TO VGA PIN 13
DB19 CUBE PIN 10 VIDEO TO VGA PIN 1-2-3
DB19 CUBE PIN 13 GND TO VGA PIN 6-7-8

Attached a power resistor ( 20 Ohm 20W ) between db19 Cube pin 12 (-12V ) to db19 Cube pin 13 ( GND ).

Then touched with a resistor 470 Ohm the db19 Cube pin 6 ( Monitor Power Switch ) to db19 Cube pin 19 ( GND )

Cube start up but stopped not finding the soundbox and the keyboard

Signal obtained is very good and stable on my CPD-L181 Sony Lcd monitor.

The solution is....

DB19 CUBE PIN 1 TO DB19 SOUNDBOX PIN 1
DB19 CUBE PIN 2 TO DB19 SOUNDBOX PIN 2
DB19 CUBE PIN 3 TO DB19 SOUNDBOX PIN 3
DB19 CUBE PIN 4 TO DB19 OSUNDBOX PIN 4
DB19 CUBE PIN 5 TO DB19 SOUNDBOX PIN 5

I attached my ADB keyboard to soundbox, my mouse to keyboard and all is working !

Problem solved !

Very, very good

I confirm, no ghosting, the only thing is the picture is slight move on the left ( probably due to the frenquency ) but nothing You can correct with the monitor's controls.
