The requests to the system for sound data are synced to the I2S word clock of the DAC (44.1khz). I didn't look into the ASIC-DAC communication very much other than to see that it was I2S.

I see you no longer have these listed for sale on your website - any chance you will be selling them again?

Also what is the VGA?  Is it still SOG?  I think the killer would be one board that spits out bog standard separate sync.  There are so many cheap flat panels that simply display nothing hooked to the standard sound box with a 13W3 to VGA adapter.  The sync converter was like $200 online from a dodgy looking outfit who knows if they still make the device.  I'd love an upscaling separate sync adapter or simply something that will work with any VGA display.

For the mono systems this targets you do not need SoG. The vsync and hsync signals are broken out already.
