The providers ("NeXTComputers.org", "we", "us", "our") of the service provided by this website ("Service") are not responsible for any user-generated content and accounts. All content submitted express the views of their author only. We are not responsible for the authenticity of the Content or its authors, as we have no means to verify that authenticity.

This Service is only available to users who are at least 18 years old. If you are younger than 18 years old, do not register for this Service. If you register for this Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

All content you submit, upload, or otherwise make available to the Service ("Content") may be reviewed by moderators. Any Content that you upload or submit may be sent to third-party verification services (including, but not limited to, spam prevention services). Do not submit, upload, or otherwise make available to the Service any Content that you consider to be private or confidential.

You agree to not use the Service to submit or link to any Content which is hateful, defamatory, abusive, threatening, contains spam or spam-like material, likely to offend, contains adult or objectionable content, contains personal information of others, risks copyright infringement, encourages unlawful activity, or otherwise violates any laws. You are granting us with a permanent, irrevocable, non-exclusive, unlimited license to use, publish, or re-publish your Content in connection with the Service. You retain copyright over the Content that you submit, upload, or otherwise make available to the Service.

The NeXTComputers.org forum rules set out below are considered part of these terms.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not register or use the Service. Use of the Service constitutes acceptance of these terms. If you wish to close your account, please contact us.


NeXTComputers.org Forum Rules:

Access to the forums is a privilege, not a right, and members who break these rules may find themselves limited or removed from the community, regardless of the other contributions they have made.

(1.) Positively no flaming or name calling. Mutual respect and mature, civilized conversation is required here.  This is a no drama zone. Personal attacks, aggressive messages, and passive-aggressive behavior is unacceptable. If you have an issue with another forum member and are unable to reply in a civilized and constructive way, you should ignore the member.

(2.) If you feel another forum member is attacking or being aggressive towards you, report their message to a moderator. Do not respond with a public post or reply. Doing so only continues the back and forth arguing that derails topics, making them uncomfortable for other members. If someone attacks you and you publically respond with an attack of your own, you will be warned regardless of who started the conflict.

(3.) No thread hijacking. Create a new thread if you have a different topic.

(4.) No off-topic posting. The Lounge area is set up to host general conversation topics.

(5.) No thread crapping.  If you're posting just to rain on someone's parade, you'll be banned.

(6.) No spamming. Any such messages will be removed and your ISP notified.

(7.) No foul language in the subject title. It's allowed in the body of the post, but please refrain from using excessive profanity.

(8.) No invalid email accounts allowed for forum registration. You must have a valid e-mail account where you can be reached by a forum moderator or administrator.  If you change your e-mail address then you'll be required to reactivate your account using your new e-mail address.

(9.) No shouting (Posting in all capital letters), it's rude and annoying.

(10.) No flooding forums or threads with pointless posts.

(11.) No posting or linking to pornographic or objectionable material.

(12.) No posting of personal information, such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, personal identification numbers, passwords, images, or any other information considered private without the express permission of the individual.  NeXTComputers.org has addressed privacy concerns by allowing users to set up their forum accounts so that e-mail addresses may not be displayed to other users, but rather moderators and administrators only.   Respecting the privacy of other members is required here.

(13.) Do not use your account to impersonate other individuals or falsely represent yourself.

(14.) Create your post in the forum that's most appropriate for the topic being presented. Posts incorrectly placed may be moved or locked.

(15.) Do not post documents, images, or other material where you do not have permission to distribute it electronically or otherwise. This includes linking to images directly from a website owned by someone else (Bandwidth Theft).  All images posted here are to be hosted personally or by a third party host.

(16.) You must observe all copyright laws, TOS's and NDA's when posting copyrighted material. If the material belongs to someone else, always credit the original author when possible. Never post messages that violate Federal, State, or Local laws which include, but are not limited to, anything that violates a copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or is bound by an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).

(17.) NeXTComputers.org, its owners, and its representatives are NOT RESPONSIBLE for any loss due to any sale or exchange of any item or service in the Classic Computer Marketplace forum. Caveat Emptor (buyer beware)!

(18.) Please do not attempt to sell or trade any products or services in the Classic Computer Marketplace forum other than NeXT hardware/software and related vintage computer items or services.

(19.) All posting in the NeXT Computers forum is to be in English only. Non-English posts will be removed.

(20.) You will not discuss, suggest, engage, or encourage any illegal activities. Links provided to locations that deal with any such activity are also expressly forbidden.  This includes, but is not limited to, Warez sites.

(21.) Advertising, site promotion, contests or linkage for personal gain is not permitted. Soliciting for fraternal organizations, humanitarian causes or personal rewards is also prohibited.

(22.) If you recommend a product or service and link to it with an affiliate code, you must disclose the affiliate relationship.

(23.) Each NeXTComputer.org forum member is limited to one account/alias, unless otherwise authorized by a NeXTComputer.org forum administrator. Protect your password and your account. You are responsible for your account regardless of compromise or stolen password.  Remember, the IP address of each posting here is recorded.

(24.) No graphics, profanity, website promotion or advertising are allowed in a forum user's signature.

(25.) Forum members may configure their account to display an avatar image.  Avatar images will not contain pornographic or other objectionable material.  Avatar images that flash or contain annoying movement may be banned at the discretion of a forum moderator or administrator.

(26.) You must respect forum moderators and administrators and are bound to follow their directions and instructions.


NeXTComputers.org, its owners, and its representatives will not be held liable for the result of the usage of any Content provided by the Service, and disclaim any and all liability resulting from the use of, or inability to use the Content or Service.

It is the responsibility of all forum members to check this page on a regular basis for any revisions in NeXTComputers.org forum rules before making any posts to the forum.
