Memory type for Dimension board?

Does anyone know what specific type of memory is required for a Dimension board?  I have 16MB of memory in 4 chips but I tried to add 4 chips but it didn't work.   If I only put the new 4 x 4MB chips in, I saw a black screen.  If I put that memory plus the original 4 x 4mb chips, it was extremely slow (like "Testing" came up one letter at a time in about 60 second intervals).

Is it FPM specifically or can EDO work?

Thanks.

Hello FPM 70NS are best and it'll work with up to 64Mb 8 * *mb although NeXT says 32.
