Quote from: wlewisiii on February 08, 2023, 04:09:55 PMMacintosh Repository has the 3.0.1 iso but it's a sit file that I'm fighting with. I'm hoping basilisk ii can deal with it.
Quote from: paolo.bertolo on May 21, 2023, 03:04:03 AMThe image of 3.0.2 version linked by Rob is defective, if I try to mount it I get an error and if I force burn it to a CD, the operation fails, too.
Quote from: cuby on May 21, 2023, 03:42:01 AMHmm, I can mount Rob's image on my macOS system, it seems to be a regular ISO9660 image.
Quote from: paolo.bertolo on May 21, 2023, 04:21:17 AMThere are two links in this thread, I've tried both. Download goes fine, but the image is garbled somewhere and I can't mount it. If I burn it, during verification phase I get an error.
Quote from: wizard on May 21, 2023, 04:30:26 PMYou need to get Mathematica_3.0.0.iso_.zip from https://www.macintoshrepository.org/681-mathematica-3You want the one that says it is 166.59 MB, I tried some of the other dumps on that page and they were missing the NeXT files (probably imaged incorrectly). This one worked for me with the keygen for windows in this thread. You need to find the app after installation, as detailed in the thread, also start the installer from the command line, do not simply double click the script file. I tested this in OPENSTEP 4.2 for Intel. Not sure if it will work for NeXT hardware but there you go.
Quote from: wlewisiii on May 22, 2023, 06:19:48 PMThat is what worked for me on Previous, from the command line as well.
Quote from: paolo.bertolo on May 26, 2023, 06:12:58 PMThank you for the tip. However, once the download is completed and the image unzipped, I can't do much with it, MacOS is telling me it's an unrecognized format.Am I missing something?
Quote from: wizard on May 27, 2023, 06:56:11 AMYou want to mount in the emulator, not in your host OS (MacOS).
Quote from: paolo.bertolo on May 28, 2023, 06:56:07 AMSo, I managed to create a working physical copy (CD ROM) of the image linked at macintosh repository.By default, it seems as though Mac OS is not able to mount or burn the image, but using some third party tool I managed to.It's now installed on my Cube 030 (took forever).Still struggling with the password: the one in the original license certificate I have is not valid for this installation...
