Hi.

I have a DEC Multia (not the Alpha model but a VX51 Intel Pentium model) where I have years ago managed to install WinNT4.0 and NeXTstep 3.3. I got the machine up from storage and would like to play with it some more. But now I don't have a PS/2 mouse (which I had before, I can't get it from storage for couple more days now) so I am a bit stuck.

From File Viewer I can navigate to NextAdmin and open Configure but I can't figure out how to get into the Mouse panel and change it from PS/2 to serial mouse (which I do have at hand).

Are there keyboard shortcuts to move between the tabs? Or move the cursor and click from keyboard? (Or a way to configure the mouse type from terminal?)

I believe you have to boot into single user mode from NeXTSTEP 3.3 System Administration Chapter 9 System Startup and Shutdown then manually add the Serial Mouse Drive to the /private/..../System.config/Instance0 (I forgot the full path). There is also the "Boot Drivers" option mentioned.

Hope that helps.

Thanks! No longer an issue for me (as I eventually went to grab my PS2 mouse from storage and used that), but good to know for the future!
