Hello!

I have done some small modifications in IRCStep in order to make it work with English and on OPENSTEP4.2.
You can find it here along with what I believe is the only screenshot of it on the internet.

Changes includes a bit of replacing japanese strings in the menu NIB file, not all are fixed but enough to get it usable. There is also a little piece of code that
I couldn't get to work at all.. gave me no nick list.

Have a nice chat!

Nice job :)

Forum is missing an IRC channel ;D

I can't connect to IRCnet. EFnet is ok. I guess that the signing in process on IRCnet makes IRCStep to timeout.

MindWalker

Nice!

For newbies like me: can you provide the binaries (or is there a guide on how to compile this myself)?  :)

Sure. I will upload a binary on Friday. Not home at the moment.

Building it is very easy. Assuming you are in openstep and installed dev tools.

Start project builder. Open the project ( navigate to extracted dir and press ok)

Hit the build icon. Build it. Press the start button, it will start.

You will get a app dir in the source code dir, when built.

Thanks.
Ah, I missed it said OpenStep. I tried Project Builder on NS3.3 but it didn't work, no wonder why! I presume it can't be compiled to NS now?

As far as I know , NS isn't supported.

Finally tested this as I got OpenStep installed on my Pentium I machine.

Was indeed easy to build and worked right away. Looks like a nice IRC client  :)
